About Corrie

It is a sign of strength for someone to even begin therapy, and finding the right therapist is a crucial part of that process. I believe that each person is able to uncover their own gifts and
strengths that can serve in their internal healing. Often just being alive can be overwhelming, with so much overlapping complexity and change happening all around us. I look forward to helping clients reconnect with themselves as a first step to engaging more fully in their relationships and the world more broadly.

As your therapist, I will provide a safe, client-centered space to explore your pain, past and present, and move toward a place of hope. I will create an atmosphere where you can find clarity,
understand yourself more deeply, identify unhelpful patterns, and begin to resolve seemingly intractable issues. You are not fated to your past, or to behaviors that no longer serve you. I
believe you can heal, and that you possess the inner resources to do so. With a multi-disciplined approach, I am committed to assisting you as you uncover a more sturdy and resilient self, less bound by old narratives and more in control of your inner life.

During our sessions, you can expect a non-judgmental space where the fullest version of yourself is welcome to emerge. I am highly intuitive, and empathically attuned, and have a preference for direct approaches that honor both your capacity and your time. I am sincerely fascinated by the uniqueness of each person’s story and have lived enough stories of my own to bring practical wisdom to complex situations. Prior to pursuing my vocation as a therapist, I was a working
artist for two decades. I have been married for 21 years, and am a mother to two teenagers. I have lived and worked in religious settings as well, which allows me to understand and assist those with specific needs around spiritual/religious questions, wounds, and integration.

I work with couples, individuals, and families of all types. There are many reasons you might be seeking therapy. I can help you navigate topics such as anxiety, depression, relationships and
commitment, the transition to parenthood, spirituality and sexuality, feeling stuck or repeating unhealthy relationship patterns, family of origin relationships, trauma, shame, identity, career decisions, and burnout (among other things!).

I am currently a graduate student at Fuller School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy. Outside the office or the classroom, you can find me laughing at something my husband said, singing along with my kids before theater rehearsal, or reading while our Jack Russell Gertie sits in my lap.
