I believe we all have what we need to be happy and prosperous inside of us. But sometimes we need someone to help us find it. My goal is to help you find what you already have. Life can create trauma and wounds that can block us from letting us see what we can accomplish. This can leave us feeling stuck and stagnant.
As a therapists, I create an empathetic listening space, helping you identify where you have become stuck. I will help you identify and challenge the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may keep you where you are and help you build a bridge to where you want to be. As part of our work, we can consider ways you can remove the barriers standing between you and positive change. Barriers might be based on conflicted values or core negative distorted beliefs. I believe therapy can be a powerful tool for getting unstuck and finding greater happiness and fulfillment.
Therapy can be beneficial if you feel stuck in a specific area of your life, such as your relationships, career, or personal growth. As your therapist, I will work with you to identify what’s blocking you, explore the underlying causes of your feelings or behaviors, and help you develop a plan to address these issues and move towards your goals.
I spent over 15 years working with families and children. A passion of mine is working with families and individuals navigating Autism or ADHD diagnosis. I’m excited to work with those who are experiencing family and relational struggles, Autism, ADHD, life stressors, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I enjoy leading parenting workshops focused on actionable strategies that build connection based on Dr. Dan Siegel’s book, Parenting from the Inside Out, and Dr. Becky Kennedy’s book, Good Inside.
I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University, earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I am a graduate student at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena in the Marriage and Family Therapy program, graduating in May 2024. I have completed Level 1 Gottman Couples Method and Level 2 Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and individuals.
I believe each person holds a uniqueness of their own. I celebrate the diversity in each person and invite clients of various ethnic, gender, and sexual orientations, and those with spiritual or religious backgrounds.
I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EFT, and Gottman Couples therapy methods.
