Practicum Students
Hope Therapy Community Counseling Center offers practicum clinical training experiences for those enrolled in MFT/PCC master’s programs.
Practicum cohorts are accepted only from CSUN Northridge, Biola, Pacific Oaks, Pacifica, and Pepperdine (we cannot add additional sites).

Note: Mandatory group supervision times are Mondays or Wednesdays, 12 PM – 2 PM, plus 1 additional hour to be scheduled on Monday or Wednesday afternoons. If you are not available during these times, please do not apply.
Interview/Placement Schedule- September for January start (3 available spots)

Problems/Diagnostic Categories: ADHD, Child Separation Anxiety, Child/Teen Problematic Behaviors/Academic Engagement, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorder, Grief, Partner Relationship Challenges, and Trauma.
Settings for Services: Community-based clinics in Burbank and Santa Clarita. Approximately 10% of clients may be served via telehealth, though most clients request in-person services.
What Makes This Site Unique: Students have the opportunity to collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner. Exposure to a range of Evidence-Based Practices, Trauma-Informed Care, Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, and EFT and Gottman Couples Method.
Primary Theory: Emotion-Focused Therapy (attachment-based) and Brainspotting.
Stipend: Students are provided with a RocketBook and various training books and manuals.

As the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy continues to evolve, there is a growing need for training that synthesizes in-person instruction, including didactic teaching, practice/role-playing, clinical experience, optional personal psychedelic experience, and consultation to establish professional competency. We are committed to supporting clinicians in developing clinical skills and providing ethical, compassionate treatment with Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy.
Currently, space is only available to clinicians who are members of the Hope Therapy team or have a pre-established referral relationship. If you are interested in joining the waitlist for the first community training, please email info@hope-therapy-center.com.
