Break Free. Heal Fully. Reclaim Your Life.

What if true mental health recovery meant more than just managing symptoms? What if you could heal at the root—without relying on lifelong medication?

As a board-certified integrative psychiatrist, I believe in a complete recovery model—one that empowers you to regain control of your mental health, heal deeply, and, when possible, reduce or eliminate reliance on psychotropic medication.

Traditional psychiatry often focuses on symptom suppression, but I take a holistic, root-cause approach that acknowledges the power of the mind, body, and environment in shaping mental well-being. You are more than a diagnosis, and your path to healing should reflect that.

A New Approach to Mental Health Recovery

At the core of my practice is the belief that true healing requires more than medication—it requires understanding and addressing the underlying causes of emotional distress. I integrate the best of modern psychiatry with evidence-based holistic therapies, offering a customized, multidimensional plan tailored to your unique needs.
  • Psychotherapy & Emotional Healing – Medication alone is not the solution. Therapy provides powerful tools for rewiring thought patterns, processing trauma, and developing emotional resilience. Modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for distress tolerance; and Attachment-Based Theory for connection to self and others play a critical role in full recovery.
  • Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) – For those struggling with treatment-resistant depression, trauma, and anxiety, PAP offers a groundbreaking approach to breaking through entrenched emotional patterns. When used in a therapeutic setting, psychedelics can facilitate profound healing, neuroplasticity, and emotional release, helping patients move beyond deeply rooted mental health challenges.
  • Nutrition & Gut-Brain Health – Your brain and body are deeply connected. Inflammation, nutritional deficiencies, and gut health can significantly impact mood, anxiety, and cognitive function. Optimizing diet and supplementation can support emotional balance and reduce dependency on medication.
  • Lifestyle & Environmental Changes – Chronic stress, poor sleep, and toxic relationships contribute to mental health struggles. I work with you to identify and modify external stressors while incorporating exercise, sleep optimization, and mindfulness practices into your healing journey.
  • Spiritual & Mindfulness-Based Practices – For those who find meaning in spirituality, incorporating mindfulness, meditation, and spiritual exploration can create a sense of peace, purpose, and inner strength. Your beliefs can be a powerful tool in recovery.
  • Medication with a Purpose—Not a Lifelong Prescription – When medication is necessary, I use it strategically and thoughtfully—not as a one-size-fits-all approach, but as a short-term support while we address underlying causes. My goal is always to help reduce or eliminate medication dependence whenever possible. I have extensive experience helping patients safely taper off antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants, mood stabilizers, and sedatives.

Expertise & Specialized Training

I specialize in medication and holistic approaches to mental health treatment and have extensive experience treating:
  • Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma-Related Symptoms
  • ADHD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, and Psychosis
  • Addictions and Substance Use Disorders
  • Treatment-Resistant Psychological and Psychiatric Disorders

My training in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) and Integrative Psychiatry allows me to work with individuals who have not found relief through traditional psychiatric methods, offering new pathways to healing.

A Collaborative, Personalized Approach to Your Healing

I don’t believe in quick fixes or band-aid solutions. Instead, I take the time to understand your unique story, your struggles, and your strengths. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or complex mental health challenges, I provide a compassionate, individualized approach designed to help you thrive—medication-free whenever possible.

Reach out today—let’s redefine what recovery looks like, together.

What is an Integrative Psychiatrist's Approach to Mental Health?

Choosing an integrative psychiatrist for your mental health journey offers a multidimensional approach that goes beyond the traditional medical mental health model.

Mental health is more than just brain chemistry—it is deeply connected to your emotions, relationships, lifestyle, and even your sense of purpose. An integrative psychiatry approach recognizes this complexity, moving beyond the traditional symptom management model to uncover and address the deeper root causes of distress. Instead of simply prescribing medication to mask symptoms, an integrative psychiatrist takes a whole-person approach, blending the best of conventional psychiatry with evidence-based holistic treatments.

This means that in addition to therapy and, when necessary, medication, your treatment plan may include nutritional interventions, movement-based practices, mindfulness techniques, and lifestyle modifications that support your emotional and cognitive well-being. Every individual is different, and healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. By creating a treatment pathway that is personalized, flexible, and collaborative, integrative psychiatry provides the space to not only reduce symptoms but to foster true, long-term recovery.

For those who have struggled with traditional treatments or find themselves stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges, this approach can be particularly transformative. By considering the mind, body, and environment as interconnected elements, integrative psychiatry supports individuals seeking psychiatry services in Burbank, CA, helping create a balanced and sustainable foundation for mental and emotional resilience. Choosing this path is choosing a deeper, more holistic healing process—one that empowers you to reclaim your well-being and move forward with clarity, strength, and renewed purpose.
