You Don't Need More Coping.
You Need Real Healing.
A therapist-led retreat that goes where weekly sessions can't — combining plant medicine, breathwork, and guided integration to release what you've been carrying.
"This isn't an escape from your life. It's a return to yourself — guided by clinical expertise, held in nature, and supported by ancient healing traditions."
— Jennie Marie Battistin, MA, LMFT · Founder, Hope Therapy Center
Who This Is For
If any of these feel familiar, this retreat was built for you.
Many people arrive here after years of traditional therapy, medication, and self-help — still feeling stuck. That's not a failure. It's a signal that you need a different kind of work.
Treatment-Resistant Depression
You've tried medication, you've done the sessions. The darkness keeps returning. Plant medicine and immersive integration offer a fundamentally different pathway.
Stored Trauma & Anxiety
Trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. Our somatic and breathwork practices reach what talk therapy alone can't touch.
Relationship & Attachment Wounds
Patterns of people-pleasing, emotional withdrawal, or fear of intimacy often trace back to early wounds. This retreat creates space to see and shift them.
Addiction & Self-Destructive Patterns
Depth-level insight into the pain driving addictive patterns can unlock what willpower couldn't. Many participants report a profound shift in craving and compulsion.
Seekers of Growth & Clarity
You don't need to be in crisis. Many attendees come simply wanting to reconnect with themselves — to create, feel more alive, and live with more intention.
Burnout & Loss of Meaning
When the motivation, creativity, and sense of purpose have faded, a guided retreat provides the reset that rest alone rarely delivers.

A Note on Integration
The medicine is not the retreat — the integration is. Every session is followed by facilitated group processing, journaling, and somatic practices designed to help insights become lasting change.
Retreat Paths
Choose the journey that calls to you.
Each path is built around a specific healing arc. All share the same Cancún setting and clinical foundation.
Women Only
Queen's Path
Feminine sovereignty & emotional reclamation
A journey into grounded self-leadership — not dominance, but the radical act of no longer abandoning yourself to be loved. Through psychedelic-assisted depth work and somatic practices, you'll dissolve patterns of over-giving and people-pleasing, and step into a sense of worth that needs no external validation.
Men Only
Knight's Realm
Masculine integration & emotional responsibility
An invitation to examine the armor you've built — the stoicism, the hyper-independence — and discover that real strength is the courage to feel and stay present. Guided breathwork, psychedelic sessions, and relational practices help you reconnect with your emotional core and redefine what it means to be whole.
Couples
Sovereign Couple
Coming together from fullness, not lack
Two individuals, each grounded in their own inner authority, choosing each other consciously. Rather than fixing the relationship, this retreat focuses on individual transformation — the relationship evolves as each partner heals. Patterns like codependency and anxious-avoidant cycles are gently surfaced and released.
Co-Ed
The Sovereign Within
Healing, wholeness & conscious connection
A universal exploration of how we relate to ourselves and others. Drawing from all three paths, this co-ed retreat is for anyone seeking to heal attachment wounds, process trauma, and return to a grounded sense of self — one that supports more conscious, connected living long after you leave Cancún.
What We Work With
Plant medicine as a
doorway, not a destination.
Each medicine is selected for its specific therapeutic properties. All experiences are facilitated by licensed clinicians in a structured, sacred setting — with preparation and integration built in.
Included
Cacao or Tea Ceremony
Heart-centered ceremonies using ceremonial-grade cacao or intentionally selected plant infusions to gently open emotional and mental space, deepen intention-setting, and nurture authentic connection.
Optional
Bufo (5-MeO-DMT)
A deeply transformative entheogenic experience. Many report temporary dissolution of ego boundaries, heightened awareness, and a sense of unconditional unity — supporting the release of fear and limiting beliefs.
Optional
Psilocybin Ceremony
In a low-dose, carefully guided ceremonial setting, sacred mushroom traditions promote gentle introspection, emotional release, and creative expansion — increasingly recognized in clinical research for their therapeutic potential.
Optional
Ayahuasca Ceremony
Rooted in Amazonian traditions, this plant-based journey facilitates access to subconscious patterns, deep emotional renewal, and spiritual insight — guided by skilled facilitators in a structured, sacred setting.

Common Questions
Things people want to know first.
Is this safe if I've never experienced plant medicine before?
Yes. Every experience is facilitated by licensed clinicians who specialize in psychedelic-assisted therapy. We conduct a thorough intake process to ensure each participant is appropriately prepared and that the selected medicines are suitable for their history and goals.
What if I only want to attend ceremonies — not all the sessions?
We recommend attending every element of the retreat. The yoga, breathwork, integration circles, and meditation are not filler — they are specifically designed to support what surfaces in ceremony and anchor insights into lasting change.
Do I need a therapist referral to attend?
No referral is required. Reach out directly to schedule a consultation call with our team. We'll help you identify which path and accommodation option is the right fit.
Is airfare included?
Airfare is not included. All other costs — lodging, meals, sessions, and airport transfers in Cancún — are covered in the retreat fee. International flights to Cancún are available from most major US cities and are typically straightforward to book.
What happens after the retreat ends?
Integration doesn't stop when you board your flight home. Hope Therapy Center offers ongoing individual therapy services across California and via telehealth, so the support can continue well after the retreat. Many participants choose to continue working with our therapists in the weeks following.
What's the difference between the co-ed retreat and the Queen's Path?
The Queen's Path is a women-only retreat with a specific focus on feminine healing archetypes — sovereignty, self-worth, and releasing patterns rooted in the female experience. The Sovereign Within (co-ed) draws from all paths and is open to anyone. Both use the same clinical framework and setting.
You've done enough surviving.
It's time to actually heal.
Three retreats in 2025. Limited spots per cohort to ensure every participant receives genuine attention. If you feel called, trust that impulse.
